If there is something you would like to see improved on the ESL or you have ideas for new ladders, leagues or cups, it is much easier to make it happen as part of the team.
Being an admin is purely voluntary, the vast majority of the ESL's hundreds of admins are rewarded with free premium and the knowledge they are doing something good for their community.

Requirements
Our general requirements:
- A good ability to write and understand English
- A good knowledge of your game and his community
- A sense of responsibility, reliability and flexibility
- Neutrality and objectivity in decision making
- Understanding conflicts and being able to resolve them
- Capability of working in a dynamic team
- Long term motivation to stay and work in a team
What would I do?
The work you can do as an ESL admin varies depending on your game, how much time you have and where your interests and skills like. The basic core tasks that a League Admin in the ESL does include:
Adminning for special competitions like:
- Making things happen for your game
Whether running ladders, leagues or cups, you are directly involved in making things happen for your game. - Supporting user
We do our best to make the site as easy to use as possible but it is by no means perfect and even our oldest users sometimes need a helping hand. Above all your duty is to help users as much as you can. - Solving protests
In a competitive environment there will always be problems between users that need solving by a fair and unbias individual. This is one of the most difficult tasks an admin does on a daily basis but can also be one of the most satisfying when all sides agree on the outcome. - Processing league joins
It's not the most interesting task, but it is one of the most important as a means of maintaining the quality of our ladders, leagues and cups and all it takes is a few minutes a day.
- Running your own cups and tournaments

How should an application looks like?
The most important fact is that this application is made by yourself. If you are really interested in being an admin, you should invest the time to make a decent application. This means also you should not copy any application from scene sites or re-use one from friends. Your application is the opportunity to give us a closer look to your own personality and intentions and not from someone else.
Write some sentences about yourself and your current or former community's activities. Give also some words about why you should get admin and what you personally think how the the work could looks like. The most important fact is fair-mindedness - make sure that your application tells us the truth.
Before you write your application choose the right section there is no garantee you can change it afterwards, because you would like to help in CS but applied for ICQ. Based on all this facts please think carefully about what you write and where you apply. Application with two or three lines wont be accepted and will probably be rejected.
Who will be in charge of my Application?
General every admin is able and allowed to rate every application. Normally only the game admins of the specific section will do this. It includes also a detailed check and maybe a personal meeting with you. But there is absolutelty no need to kiss some admins asses to have maybe a better chance to become admin. The final decision if you will get admin or not is up to the section leader ('Master League Admin') together with the team.
How can i get a status of my application?
Please avoid to ask for a status of your application and just wait until you will receive an email with a reject or accept. So please just wait until you have an result. In some section it could take longer then in others.
